Welcome to McKensie (Bedore) Omara, our Director of Faith Formation!

In her own words, McKensie shares her enthusiasm for this new chapter: “I am excited about the opportunity to provide leadership, guidance, and knowledge for the youth programs at Dilworth Lutheran Church.”

McKensie joins us after spending four years as a full-time missionary in Uganda, Africa.  McKensie served as the Spiritual Director at Milandila Community Missions, a non-profit ministry which cares for mothers and pre-mature babies.  You may remember McKensie from her concert this past December here at church—Concert for a Cause—where she shared about her ministry in Uganda.  Later this summer, McKensie’s husband, Ema, will join her here in Dilworth.

McKensie holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion with a focus on Biblical and Theological Studies. She will complete her Masters in Applied Ministry this spring, both from Liberty University.  She is a Dilworth native, grew up at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, and is a graduate of Moorhead High School.
