PASTOR ELIZABETH HILLER

SENIOR PASTOR

The Rev. Elizabeth L. Hiller has served as senior pastor of Dilworth Lutheran Church since 2017 and on church staff since 2014. She is passionate about the freeing word of Jesus and shaping the ministries of the church in God’s grace. Her work includes organizational development, long-range planning and ministry sustainability. She serves on the Church Council, Finance, Long-Range Planning, and Stewardship Committees.
She serves the Dilworth community and the wider church through the board of directors of Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity, the Northwest Minnesota Synod Women’s Resiliency Taskforce, and the ELCA Larger Church Conference.
She is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and Yale Divinity School, New Haven, CT. She completed her requirements for ordination through Luther Seminary, St Paul, MN. Ordained since 2007, she previously served congregations in Davenport, Iowa and Chicago, Illinois. She lives with her husband, Tim Hiller, and their three children, in Moorhead.

PASTOR DAN FORSBERG

PASTOR

Pastor Dan is our Associate Pastor at Dilworth Lutheran Church. He married Debbie Krattenmaker on May 24, 1980, raised 3 daughters (Katie, Jeanne, and Diana), and is a proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren. He received his Master of Divinity at Luther-Northwestern in June of 1986. Since then he has served parishes in both the NwMN Synod and EaND Synod. He implemented a new visitation ministry called BeFrienders and loves preaching, leading Bible studies and filling in wherever he is needed. He is a beekeeper, gardener, and enjoys riding bicycle with his wife.
Favorite Bible verse: “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (1 John 4: 7-8)

RYAN CAMERON

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Ryan grew up in the small town of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota were he got his first full-time position as a dishwasher at a local resort in 1997. Within one year he obtained a promotion to line cook and has been cooking up until 2017. Having held positions in numerous restaurants over the span of twenty years in the hospitality industry,  Ryan’s plans changed and he enrolled at Rasmussen University where he earned an Associates degree in Software Application Development. In May 2017 Ryan accepted his position at Dilworth Lutheran Church as  Office Administrator where his primary role is to support the staff and keep the records for the congregation.  He also spends much of his time with publications and updating the church website.
Ryan enjoys keeping up with the newest technology trends, as well as working in his yard landscaping.  During the summer and into the fall seasons he enjoys camping with his wife, Brittany, his two boys, Clay and Colt, and two miniature Dachshunds – Jude, and Allie.
Favorite Bible verse: “He said to them, ‘Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”’ Matthew 17:20

KRIS NELSON

DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP AND MUSIC

Kris is an inviting member of DLC with a passion for sharing her love of music. She has years of musical experience, dating back to the third grade, paving the way towards her becoming Director of Music and Worship at DLC. She has been a part of DLC since 2017.
Kris is married to her husband Don, and calls Fargo, ND home. They have six children and 4 grandchildren with two more on the way between them. When spreading music and joy to others at DLC, you can find her spending time at their lake cabin, being with their grandkids as much as possible, gardening, crafting, and spending time with Don.
Her favorite bible verses are ‘The Beatitudes’ from Matthew 5:1-12, especially when put to music.

JEAN HANSON

SENIOR CHOIR DIRECTOR

Jean serves as our Senior Choir director.  Born in Fargo, ND, the 3rd of four children (2 sisters and 1 brother) to Denis and Shirley Hanson, Jean grew up in several different communities throughout MN, and graduated from high school in Graceville, MN. Jean earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Minnesota State University–Moorhead, after which she served three years as a youth worker at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brodhead, WI, through the Tentmaker’s Inc program. Jean also served for four years as Campus Ministry Associate at the Lutheran Campus Ministry Center at Bemidji State University. She returned to MSUM to earn her paralegal bachelor’s degree. Jean’s career has included working at Lake Agassiz Regional Library, Clarica Life Insurance Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota and currently she is working with CommonSpirit Health as a Contract Administrator.
Jean moved to Dilworth and has been a member of Dilworth Lutheran Church for over 25 years. She has had the opportunity to serve as Secretary to the Council, member of the Worship and Music and Evangelism committees, play keyboard for the Praise Band, and direct the Senior Choir over those years.

DANIELLE COSTELLO

BOOKKEEPER

Dani was born and raised in Dilworth, MN. She was confirmed and received her first communion here at Dilworth Lutheran Church. Dani started her career in healthcare, but it wasn’t until she became the bookkeeper for Dilworth Lutheran Church that she discovered her true calling and passion in the world of finance. She has continued to follow that passion and now works as bookkeeper for multiple area nonprofits.
Dani married her husband Tom in 2014 and all three of their children were baptized and attend DLC as well. Dani and her family enjoy spending the summers in the lakes area with family and friends and spend most of the fall and winter months attending their children’s sporting events.
Favorite Bible verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
